Daniel Messer, a junior at Clayton Valley High in California, won the Division 2 boys varsity red race at the 74th Mt. SAC Cross Country Invitational Presented by Nike in Walnut, Calif. Messer covered the 2.93-mile layout in 15:42, followed by junior teammate Daniel Martinez placing second in 15:53, as Clayton Valley took three of the top four spots to secure a 59-69 victory against La Serna High from California.
